Life rushes by us at breakneck speed.
We're all so busy struggling to keep up with our schedules and responsibilities that we rarely stop and appreciate - really appreciate - those people and relationships in our lives that are most important to us. But children grow, people change, and inevitably, memories fade. As a photographer, my eye searches for the simple moments that illustrate the stories of couples starting their lives together, infants in their remarkable smallness, young children exploring the world, and the inextricable connection of family, so that those moments we want to remember can be revisited and revived a few weeks or a few generations later. I cannot overstate the value this record holds for me in my own life: I count certain photographs of my parents, my brother, my wedding, my husband, and most especially my children among my most prized possessions. Given my practical attitude and propensity for sarcasm, even my best friends would probably scoff at the idea, but at heart, I am a sentimentalist.

Jenn - Annemie what an amazing, unique idea! I can’t wait to find someone to do this with you!
Rachel - This is a wonderful idea, Annemie! I wish I had something amazing happening right now so I could volunteer myself! But alas, we’re all out of momentous occasions for the moment…but I’ll add this to my list of things that might inspire one!
Clara - Yes! Perfecto! It is what we, close friends, family, clients and blog followers were enjoying so much, even when we didn’t personally meet the owners of your beautiful stories. You are not only talented capturing images, you are telling gorgeous stories when also putting in words the moments shared with them!
Congrats for such a great idea!
Kelli - I love it! Such a unique and thoughtful idea. Now if I could just get married again…
Bert - Great idea. Your photos and your writing will make any customer thrilled, I’m sure.
kate - A great idea! Your way with words together with the way you frame your shots will be the perfect capture of a life’s moment.
annemie - Thanks, everyone! I’m excited about it, and itching to get started
I want to be clear, though (based on Kelli & Rachel’s comments): this is in no way intended to be limited to big life events… sometimes the simplest stories are the most beautiful ones!
Evan - I hate to sound redundant, but this sounds awesome. If ever there was a photographer who could capture beauty in both pictures AND words, it would certainly be you. Looking forward to looking at/reading these.
Meg Berreth - What a wonderful idea! You write so well and take even better pictures! I am always happy to be a guinea pig for your pictures and words… not anything big happening aside from my blessed life…. we have to get a new car! i guess that won’t be something important to remember in the long run….. Lets get together soon.
Charlene - If I were closer I’d jump at the chance to be your guinea pig!
